Free Visitor Parking and Shuttle at Manheim New England

If you are planning to visit the Eleventh Annual Dighton Arts Festival, free parking is available at the festival site (1522 Williams Street). However, those spaces generally are full early. As in past years, we have arranged for plenty of free parking at the Manheim New England Auto Auction at 123 Williams Street, Dighton. Free shuttle buses will operate continuously throughout the festival to take visitors the short distance to and from the festival.

The mission of the Dighton Arts Festival is to provide a place where local and regional artists and crafters can display and sell their work in a family-oriented environment that encourages artists and crafters of all ages and promotes interest in the arts in our community. The Dighton Lions Club sponsored festival is held annually on the 1st Sunday in November at Araujo Farms and Greenhouses in Dighton, Massachusetts.

Photo Safaris

What is a Photo Safari
A photo safari is an event sponsored and organized by the Dighton Art Association. It is an opportunity for photographers to get together in a new and fun environment to boost their creativity, learn more about the art of photography, and have fun experimenting with their equippment and techniques in a relaxed and inspirational atmosphere.

Our Safari in June was to an estate property here in Dighton.

Coming this summer .... a guided photo canoe/kayak trip with Canoe Passage Outfitters of Taunton and Warren, RI. Still working on the details of this trip. They have one scheduled for July 8th out of Warren for $65.00 so that might be the one.

Here's the description of the photo canoe/kayak trip:
The Narragansett Bay and its adjacent rivers are places of great beauty with an abundance of nature. Spend a day developing your own passion and talent in an introductory class taking spectacular photos of this unmatched splendor. Capture images of hawks, great blue herons, Canada geese, osprey, red wing black birds, yellow warblers, ducks and other wildlife. Read more at their website.

Sounds great! I'm holding the date!
