Taunton Art Association Colored Pencil Workshop

The Taunton Art Association will be hosting a colored pencil workshop next week led by local artist Susan Cabral.

The workshop, which benefits both beginner and advanced artists, will take place on Nov. 15 at the Barradas Gallery, on Williams Street, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cabral will show you how you can achieve a photo-realistic look or a loose, light-textured picture by teaching you the fundamentals of working with colored pencils.

Students will learn how to layer, burnish, as well as mix colors with a colored pencil.

Cabral has more than 25 years of teaching experience, which she will share with the class. She has also won numerous awards and has displayed her work in five museums.

For those interested in attending, Prismacolor colored pencils and bristol smooth paper work best.

For more information about the workshop or to register, call Sis Denson at (508) 947-4312.
